Awesome Update Mar 13, 2009 Half the price and we did not have to buy the original just an update.

A Must Upgrade! Dec 07, 2008 After getting this upgrade, I couldn't really find much in the form of improvements to the product (at first blush).
After going through it a few times and working with some of my file though I started noticing a few things.
WOW - its faster. Operations seem zippier than in CS3. I really appreciate the work that was done.
WOW - its more stable. Sometimes my Illustrator CS3 would freeze or just plain refuse to save a file.
Just the speed improvements and stability in the product alone make it worthwhile.
The biggest addition from CS3, is the ability to have multiple crop areas. This allows you to in effect have multiple pages to an AI file. Illustrator even treats each different crop area as a page. Of note to newcomers to illustrator has always been that that you can only have one page open at a time and that you can't combine pages. For graphic artists it probably doesn't matter but for those of us who do page design work, it has been a bit of a nuissance. not a big one as most of my work goes into another Adobe product for further processing but still would be nice.
A huge bonus is with Bridge CS4 --- the speed increase is literally PHENOMENAL. I can actually use Bridge now where before I had a hard time running it. Bear in mind I have a Core 2 Duo processor and 4Gig of Ram so it wasn't my machine that was slow - it was Bridge CS3 and now its fixed.
In using Dreamweaver CS4, I can also tell that the look and feel of the products have merged into a more standard look and feel. Kindof like when Microsoft Word and Excel started to become a Suite back in the 90s (Microsoft haters, please be kind to me at the audacity of comparing the two suites) but you can tell that with CS4 - Creative Suite is definitely coming more together.
If you're still using CS2, this upgrade to CS4 is definitely worth it as you also get the collapsing menus etc.
Finally, the toolbar in CS4 is much more intuitive than in CS3, it does display my most used tools.
Overall, I consider this a must get upgrade if for nothing else, just the speed and stability.
