Code didn't work Oct 26, 2009 I attempted to install Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 and the code did not work. I called the technical support number and that was a nightmare. Dropped call, put on hold, said the code was valid everything but getting it fixed. I was told to download the professional version trial and then enter the code. That did not work either. It took me 3 weeks before someone finally gave me another code. What a pain.

Well worth it... Sep 11, 2009 I purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard 9, and am glad I did. I never thought in a million years that a software package would be a lot more useful than ever imagined. I got it initally for the sole purpose of cutting down on the amount of papers I have in my house, and got a lot more. I am also currently in school, and I use it to scan handouts, diagrams, notes, even ultrasound pictures. Initially, I was going to use it just to scan my bills once they were paid, and my bank statements.
It is easy to use, and very user friendly. It also works very well with MS Word and Excel, and will convert those files to PDF files when you are in the Word/Excel Software. It is a MUST HAVE, for anyone who wants to be organized, but doesn't have the physical space to have wall to wall file cabinets. I also use this software for my business documents as well. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Terrible support Aug 15, 2009 Support for Acrobat 9 is terrible. Adobe does not respond to on-line requests for help. Your request just vanished into the web. Phone calls to official Adobe support lines are worse. You'll wait 20 minutes or more before someone answers. Then the problems is not fixed, although you will be told is was fixed. Then you must call back - and wait another half hour for an answer - just to get brushed-off again.
Really, really bad support. BAD.

Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 Jul 17, 2009 Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 does what I need it to do. I write PDFs from Microsoft Word 2000 and secure them with a password.
